ViewSonic Delivers World’s First Super High Resolution, 19-inch wide LCD with up to 2ms Response Time.
ViewSonic, a leading global provider of visual display products, announces its latest display innovation, the VX1940w. The display is the world’s first 19-inch widescreen LCD to combine 1680x1050 super high resolution, ultra fast, up to 2ms response time (grey-to-grey) and up to 3000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio.
London, 10 October 2007 – ViewSonic, a leading global provider of visual display products, announces its latest display innovation, the VX1940w. The display is the world’s first 19-inch widescreen LCD to combine 1680x1050 super high resolution, ultra fast, up to 2ms response time (grey-to-grey) and up to 3000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio.
Available in November, the VX1940w has been specifically designed for passionate gamers and multimedia enthusiasts eager to enjoy the fastest games and movie action sequences with minimal distortion and industry leading image quality. The VX1940w offers multiple inputs, wide viewing angles (H170°/V160°) and 300 nits of brightness – making it not only an ideal solution for gaming, but also perfect for viewing DVDs and performing traditional PC applications.
The highest resolution available on a 19-inch widescreen LCD, combined with the Dynamic Contrast Ratio, provides users with crisp images, darker black levels and a higher contrast. In addition, DCR technology adjusts black levels based on screen content to reduce “light leakage” and improve performance up to four times greater than traditional contrast ratios, especially when viewed from the side.
The VX1940w will be one of the first models offered in ViewSonic’s latest VX 40 Series of LCDs that feature a new sleek design. A 22-inch version boasting similar features, including high contrast ratio and 2ms response time will be available within the fourth quarter as well.
